What should you do first?

Begin with the format you want to learn, read the objective shown in the client, and record what actually happens. This wiki currently treats the launch announcement and official progression overview as the reliable baseline. It does not turn untested perk values, routes, or ability timings into facts.

The launch facts to know

  • Story Mode is presented as a standalone single-player experience.
  • Multiplayer uses an asymmetrical 1v4 format: one player is Michael and four players are Civilians.
  • The launch map list contains Haddonfield Town Center, Haddonfield Heights, Orange Grove Estates, and East Haddonfield.
  • The official launch material presents ten playable Civilian characters.

These points describe the product at launch. They do not replace the in-game tutorial or explain every objective.

First-session checklist

  1. Choose Story Mode or the 1v4 multiplayer mode.
  2. Write down your side and the objective shown before the match begins.
  3. Note the map name and any landmark that helps you orient yourself.
  4. Capture the exact wording of a perk, challenge, or ability before searching for a build.
  5. After the match, separate what you personally observed from what a guide or social post claimed.

How to read this wiki

Each page uses a small source ledger. Official means the statement is supported by a first-party announcement or product page. Recheck means the system is documented at a high level but still needs a live-client check. Pending means we have not published a mechanic as fact yet.
